Why Ride a Gravel Bike?

1) Because riding a gravel bike is safer than riding on the road (#CARS!).

2) Because there are dirt roads, fire roads, gravel alleys, uneven bike paths, horribly surfaced roads, and light trails where gravel bikes are perfect.

3) Because mountain bikers can be "bro-ish" and roadies can be snobs, so find a healthy middle ground in the Gravelution.

4) Because gravel bikes are the best "Do-It-All" bikes in production today.

5) Because gravel bikes enable epic days of linking together empty dirt roads through hills and towns and mountains.

6) Because gravel bikes are ascetically amazing.

7) Because of gravel rides and races like the Dirty Kanza, the Crusher in the Tushar, Rebecca's Private Idaho, Grinduro, and others.

8) Because winter roads can be far too grimy, salty, wet, and shitty for your expensive road bike. So ride your burly gravel bike in November, December, January, February, and March.

9) Because gravel bikes look like stealth bomber road bikes.

10) Because you can ride along roads like the one pictured below. More peaceful than bombing a singletrack. And less worrisome than navigating traffic. Gravel is the sweet spot of cycling.
